Relais pour la Vie 2026: CGPM on the podium for its very first participation

A first participation. A podium. And a story that is only just beginning.

When CGPM gets involved, it does so wholeheartedly. For its very first participation in the Relais pour la Vie, our mutual brought together more than 50 people — members, employees and board members — around a cause that touches us all closely: the fight against cancer.

One event, thousands of faces

On 21 and 22 March 2026, the Relais pour la Vie brought together 548 teams and more than 15,000 participants across Luxembourg. Neither competition nor gala, but a collective movement, an act of solidarity and a message addressed to those who are fighting: you are not alone.

The CGPM team present on all fronts

More than 50 people proudly wore the colours of CGPM during that weekend.

Maurice put on his trainers from Berlin. Henri proudly wore his finisher’s race bib in Sydney. Olivier walked with his partner near Liège. Others took part from different cities across Europe and Luxembourg, each in their own way — walking, running or cycling — but all sharing the same commitment.

On 22 March, part of the team gathered in Larochette: 27 people came together physically to run and walk under the same colours. To start this shared day in the best possible way, CGPM had prepared breakfast and a few goodies, because commitment is also built through small gestures.

€2,985 for the Cancer Foundation

This collective mobilisation made it possible to raise €2,985 for the Cancer Foundation. Funds that will support research and help patients. Behind every euro: a donation, a step and an intention.

3rd place in the Trophy of Hope

On 28 April, during the prize-giving ceremony, CGPM received 3rd place in the Trophy of Hope.

A distinction that rewards not only an organisation, but everyone behind it. Members who donated their time. Employees who trained their loved ones. A board of directors that led by example. Faces behind every kilometre covered, behind every euro raised.

Cancer affects 1 in 5 men and 1 in 6 women. These are not abstract figures — they are our loved ones, our colleagues, sometimes even ourselves. That is precisely why CGPM will be there again in 2027.

What this weekend proved is that together, we go further — and this story is only in its first chapter.
